Few things are as pursuasive as a well-penned letter, followed up by a respectful phone call.  As a guideline, your letter should be brief, no longer than one page.  It should contain a maximum of three points.  Be absolutely certain your letter contains no spelling errors.  Have a respected friend check for poor grammar.  Do NOT send letters that call people names, or that contain hatred.  As a general rule, do not send lots of letters until your situation, if any, has been finalized.  By all means, refer the reader to our website, www.childprotectionreform.org .  CPR offers a number of sample letters.  Feel free to use them.  Contact CPR to add your own.

Letter to the head of the local SCF - Don't send one like this unless you have ALREADY taken action.  In this case, the action taken was a mailing of 20,000 flyers to members of the community.

Letter to the Legislature - Send this to every legislator in your state.  Ideally, letters like this should be hand-addressed, and mailed just prior to the start of the session.

Letter to the Legislature - Ditto for this one.

Letter to a specific legislator - After you've been wronged, send something like this.  Or in .html format...

Guest editorial - Most newspapers have a "sound off" forum, in which they allow considerably more column space for someone with expertise in a particular issue.  Here is one sample.   Note that you MUST include your name, address, and telephone number with any submission for publication.

Letter to the editor - Piggyback your message onto the news item of the day.  Again, you must include your name, address, and phone.

Letter to the editor - Ditto the above.

Letter to the editor - Another ditto.

Thanks to the editor - And you can thank them for running ads or investigative pieces, as well.

Another thanks to the editor - Yet again.   They (editors) love this stuff.

Letter of concern - A great letter to the head of the local "Safe, Strong, and Free" bunch of child indoctrinators.

Request to prosecute - You can always contact the Feds to request prosecution of local SCF.  Don't hold your breath, though.
