At Child Protection Reform (CPR), we firmly believe the state is failing, and failing miserably, to engage families in redemptive ways.   This is not just because of others' testimony.  The system's own studies provide strong evidence of abusive behavior.  To build support for reform, we offer this information to you.  After all, there is hope.

We encourage you to do some investigation of your own.  You may find CPR's list of questions for SCF to be helpful during your own interviews with caseworkers.

Much of the rancor over Children's Services is over the idea that spanking - especially spanking that leaves a mark - is abuse.   Spanking is currently defined as child abuse by many activists, caseworkers, and others in the far Left.  Most wrongful charges of child abuse arise over this key battle between collectivists and traditional family structure and values.

This longish poem by one system veteran gives great background.

This book by an experienced foster mom gives a sobering view of the system and its children.....
