Maine Study - Comprehensive and recent, this is the place to start.  Every member of the Oregon legislature was given a copy.  Unfortunately, the study's size did not fit well with the mental capacity of the average politician; it was successfully smothered by SCF lobbyists.  To help this, we've condensed it to just three pages.  Those with time, money, and large brains may still order the original study.

Maine Study Recommendations - What researchers asked for; none of it was passed into law.

Strength/Needs Performance Study - Conducted by Portland State researchers, its data debunks SCF's claim of building strong families.

Cohort IV - Demographics of families of children in SCF custody, showing both that most families in the system are there legitimately, and implying that a significant minority are not.

San Diego Study - Developed by a San Diego County Grand Jury, it is the seminal work in exposing Children's Services abuses.

Santa Clara Study - Developed by a Santa Clara County Grand Jury, it is only slightly less critical of Children's Services

Reason Institute Study - Long, thorough, and comprehensive, this study was performed in 1999 by a progressive think tank.  Its recommendations should be startlingly familiar to those who study this website.

US Department of Justice - These guys are SUPPOSED to prosecute federal and state employees who violate your civil rights.  Not a chance - as evidenced by their own report.

Lifting the Veil - A series of reports about Children's Services conduct, complete with lots of stats, quotes, and findings.

False Munchausen By Proxy - An qualitative study showing strong bias in clinical professionals who falsely accuse parents of FMBP.
